I put in a new well and pump this summer for livestock total bill was right at $4000. 42 ft deep, 4" pump and (casing I think) screen and sealing old well. Existing pressure system was used and about 50 feet of electric trenching. I think my driller charges $15/ft with a 50 ft min. I would go with a 2 wire pump and forget about the control box jmho.
