Subject: Does urea in feed help fertilize pasture

King City, Mo
Driving over frozen cow pie chording and looking at the large are they are covering on the valley I have been feeding In since August got me thinking.

Sum where I read cow pass 40-50 percent of the hay they eat as manure. I have also herd that if u haul hay into ur cows the pasture will self sustain on nutrients to grow forage. I have used almost 21000# of Qlf molasses that is 40 percent protein.

I can't find the tag but know that a lot of the protein comes from urea.

Are my pastures going to see a N boost because of the urea in feed?

I'm still going to put fertilizer on my pasture but just wound wring bout that
