I dont think $60 a ton is outa line even if 30bu corn, I gave $200 an acre to buy alot of failed corn to chop, most made 25-30bu and made say 6-8 ton avg, so if 7 ton, I had bout $29 a ton in that and since this was farther away I had it custom chopped, and had another $16 a ton in that when done. So would have $45 hard money with no shrink or waste, so Im figuring another 10% in on top would be another $4.50 a ton, so $50 hard money in it, I know guys that bought 50 bu silage in our area that have $80-85 a ton in it, not counting shrink or waste, just what they had to pay for it and the chopping bill.
