Eastern Iowa | It was supposed to be easy. Bought a Chelsea PTO for Ford manual transmission, and the original idea was to build lengths of shaft with knuckles mounted with hanger bearings to the frame cross members. But when the PTO arrived, the output shaft turned the wrong direction. We had a reverser gearbox from an old Gehl chopper with an output shaft on the opposite end that allowed us to mount the drive shafts lower and at less extreme angles, while also turning the shaft in the right direction. Pretty much lucked into that solution.
