I don't mind meat but let's not freak out because we're skipping it for a day.
As a beef cattle rancher, i don't think any of us here will "freak out because we're skipping it for a day."
However, I am under no illusion that "Meatless Monday" was created for anything but political purposes. If anyone believes those behind the creation of "Meatless Monday" are interested in your health, then I've got some ocean front property in Arizone I will make someone a heck of deal on!
Seriously, why not Wheatless Wednesday, Tofuless Thursday, or Fishless Friday? Let's not deceive ourselves that Meatless Monday is nothing more than anoither gimmick propogated for a liberal political agenda.
Perhaps I might be a little oversensitive as a beef producer, but I have nothing but the utmost contempt for ideas like "Meatless Monday". |
