Well Paul; Heres the deal, In just a few short years they are going to be able to take sunlight and convert it directly to the sugars and stratchs, thats all the plant does. So we wont need the plant and in turn we wont need the dirt (land). As I understand they are close(.artificial photosyntheis)sp.
Even if they can get it working and feasible, I doubt it will become the dominant method of food production.
Given the animosity towards GMO's today, are people really going to accept completely synthetic food or food made in a lab? I doubt it. |
