Subject: RE: 4910 Packer Crank Instilation

Pasco WA.
Got it back together today and finished baling timothy. Start on second cutting alfalfa tomorow evening. I had two helpers and we did it basically like you said except that we did it all by hand. Took us less than 4 hours to put back together. I set all the packer bearing shimming before we installed the crank. Lots easier to do that way. I had to get the new spacers and sprocket too. The old crank was 2" and the new one is 2.25" so hopefully the larger shaft will eliminate the breakage. Both of my balers now have new cranks due to breakage.
