I would think South America seriously needs a lot of on farm storage. It looks like the combination of despotic governments, bottleneck roads and bottle neck terminal ports on farm storage would be necessary. I would think the Cargills of the world could just rip the farmers a new one on basis where there is little alternative where the grain can go and when it has to go. Looks like a setup made in heaven for the multinational grain companies. But maybe that is just me. Having control of ones product past the field edge has its advantages. John |
