Subject: RE: 1/14/2013 12/13: soy planting in Argentina enters the final stretch

In absolute terms, 17.8 million hectares were sown
The 2012/13 crop planting soybeans in Argentina reached, until last week, 90.8 percent of the 19.7 million acres scheduled for the season. In absolute figures were 17.8 million hectares seeded, translating advances of 5.9% weekly and annual 5.2% in comparison with last season.
The findings are from the Buenos Aires cereals Exchange, in the second Agricultural Weekly Panorama. As the entity in its report, the rainfall recorded at the beginning of the week in the North of the country's agricultural area made it possible to improve the conditions of planting in areas such as Salta, Tucumán, Jujuy, Catamarca, West Sgo del Estero (NOA) and Sgo del Estero, Chaco and Formosa (NEA).
In turn, in the remaining areas were reported varied rainfall areas, providing an ideal milimetragem in some regions, while other received no rainfall.
With this, in areas such as the nucleus of the North, South, Central East of Entre Ríos and Córdoba North Central new water clocks would be needed to provide moisture for the most up-to-date considered points that are now in total generation performance and do not unreasonably. In some regions of the country the sowing had been closed.
Production
In a report released on Friday (11), the United States Department of agriculture (USDA), reduced the estimate of Argentine soy crop. Previously scheduled in 55 million tons, now becomes of 54 million tonnes.
The initial stocks of soybeans for this crop were also reduced in the country: from 19 million tonnes to 18.10 million tons. Same trajectory now exports are estimated at 11 million tonnes. In December the USDA pointed other 12 million tons.
