This is how my county is start in a corner and used numbers for the N-S roads and letters for the E-W roads. Makes giving directions easy. If the road isn't on an even mile it's whatever number or letter and the hundredths of a mile the road is on. Example County Road -N65 or County Road 10.3. Makes sense to me but I also think the metric system makes more since than standard too.
