Subject: Need expert advice on brush burning...

It sounds like there is lots of brush getting cleaned up this winter so i need some advice. I cleared some fence rows in November and made several pretty good sized brush piles. After 3 failed attempts at burning them I'm starting to get a little worried. I think I've tried about everything - tires, diesel, blowing air on it, with no luck. Yesterday I got it REALLY hot with the tires but the trees just wouldn't burn. I've never seen anything so flame retardant. Will this stuff burn better by April? Leaving it longer than that is not an option. I'm open to any ideas. Thanks.
