It really shouldn't be any problem. Although most of our clients have moved to either JD's Greenstar or Farmworks Sitemate for recording data in the field. I had a couple producers using the YM2000 to map field operations (esp. planting) as well as draw borders, ect.
I don't remember hooking up any extra cables except for power, and setting the "log without grain flow" option
