Pittsburg, Kansas

Actually the GPS 2000 will map your tile lines without even using the YM2000. Ag Leader used a Trimble board for the GPS engine but has additional software within the GPS 2000 that will mark boundaries and points. It can be set for continous marking (at various intervalos) or manual. It has been years since I used this feature so don't ask me how to do it but I remember it is fairly simple to do with the front control buttons and the internal memory in the unit records the file which can be downloaded via the serial port to your computer. No data card is involved. It worked well when we used it. This procedure should be outlined in your operators manual for the GPS 2000. Mapping field boundaries with a GPS 2000 is probably the very first thing I did involving precision ag. If you don't have a manual they may be available on line via Ag Leader or find a neighbor or dealer who has one.
