nc Ne | a hog will eat anything . The only thing I found they wont eat is gumweed . Once I baled a bunch of that to clean off a pasture. I put a couple bales of that in the pen for bedding and it lasted in a pen of 100+ butchers for 2 months till they finally rubbed it in two . We used to feed sows ground ear corn while in gestation . The ear corn helped to fill them up . This was all done by hand . There is a limited market for hogs which is unfortunate because the cash outlay to raise 30-40 sows would be minimal. That also used to make a persons spending money . | |
