| everything built in 2021, 2022, and likely 2023 is going to be likely basketcase. One only has to look at the number of machines run down assembly lines with parts missing and go back later to repair/replace. Go a step or two further back the supply chain and there are suppliers deviating away from validated materials based on shortages but since the almighty dollar reigns supreme engineers take a good guess at what would work. Things like polymers for plastic in wire insulation, solder used in electronic boards, polymers in rubber and plastic components. So many substitutions were made without proper testing and validation. These will show up in early hour reliability (<100hrs) with things being assembled and repaired out of process and long term durability with wiring harnesses getting brittle and other rubber and plastic parts not living up to expectations. | |
