Soaking corn is not practical for large numbers, but it wouldn't be hard for 3 head. I soak corn for 20 replacement heifers every day and it's no big deal - we just call it chores. It may or may not improve the digestibility - I don't know. But I do know that its easier to start calves on whole corn if you soak it.
