Subject: Re: View from a teacher

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
There were some heroic efforts by at least a couple fo teachers in Conn. who gave their own lives trying to shield their students from bullets. I never gave it much thought before but I had and I know of a lot of teachers who would have done the same. Says a lot about our teachers. Thank-you for posting.
Of course this brings up another line of thought I've struggled with for a long time. Why aren't teachers paid more? They shape the lives of human beings. They have such an important and influencal job. We need the best of the best in those positions.
