make sure you put some test plots into this VR scheme. the neat thing about GPS and dataloggers is that one can now put in test plots pretty much wherever one wants and measure the results. EG on light soil where you would reduce seed population, make sure that you plant a higher rate on some of that soil type - adjacently if at all possible, so you can measure the effect with a yield monitor or other means.
