I'll just agree to disaqgree

The way spending cuts along with tax increases work is that the tax increases get implemented and the spending cuts get phased in over the next ten years when someone else will be in office then it never happens. Government has been getting larger and larger. It is time for it to get smaller and smaller. Giving them more money is not the way to do it, in my opinion.
