I'm not saying anybody deserves more or less. I'm just saying the way it is. It's kind of like the coal fired power plant they wanted to put up in Holcomb. The NG lobby was one of the most powerful movements against it that killed it... but they used the environmental lobby front to get the job done. It's not what you can see that you should be worried about.

You suppose that all those commercial businesses get "use-value" exemptions for the business if the kids keep running it like farming operations get for farmland? I honestly don't know, but I bet not.

Taxes need to be simplified. The country needs to fall off the fiscal cliff to get the austerity measures imposed. Taxes also need to go up. It's time to pay the piper. Anybody that thinks that can be done by cutting only and without raising taxes isn't rowing with both oars. Will it be a drag on the economy? Yes, but it has to be done. There will never be a "popular" tax increase.
