WY, OK | Those April steers were likely well over a year old, now we are weaning $1K per head calves in the 600-70lb range and they are 1K lbs or more by April of the following year bringing well over $1K per head. Looking at a few historical price tables I see nothing even close to $1.40 for calves in '94, they were about half that. Looks like $.82 for 700-800lbs in April of '94.
