Crawford County, Ohio | I agree wholeheartedly. I use an external for local backups and Sugarsync for off site insurance on my Mac and both Windows systems. However Mrs Butch seems to not want to use an external so I was providing an option. Since most people don't even have a local backup, I would say it is a step in the right direction. Hard drives are mechanical devices that are subject to failure no different than a dishwasher or refrigerator. When looking at the big picture there is a much greater chance of a drive failure than a house burning down. Having a local backup eliminates the greatest amount of risk but not entirely as you point out. | |
