I did it for about 10 years and it worked well. Went to 12 row planter this year to speed things up and not any good way for me to setup planter to put on the 45 or so gals. of 28. I farm by myself, and putting all on with planter worked well with good yields. But in wetter years with not many days to plant, it really slowed me up. Went back to sidedress this year and that made for less stress at planting time.
