We also have some smaller yellow corn, mostly on poorer drained no-till fields. The no-till fields that are drained well look good. Everything was planted when the ground was dry. We have corn side by side that is no-till and tilled on some wetter ground, Big difference. I don't like to till that much but I am starting to think that the wetter ground should be. Also noticed the corn being taller and darker green where we stopped. Single disc fert. openers are well ahead of the seed openers so I did not think it was the fert. We do not use na-churs. Again this is only noticed in the poorer drained no-tilled fields. I wish we knew what happened in the areas where we stopped because if the whole field look that good it would probabliy be 30-40 bu. better. The long cool wet wheather we had is the major factor I think.
