Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | Steve is Right as Rain.
On my White 2-155 with cast duals [four 38" cast centers]
There has been the factory 18.4 x 38.
Were replaced by 20.8 x 38 when I got it.
About 1990 I put 18.4 x 42 tires on. Using the Drop Center rims.
Just has to be the 'Double Bevel' style of rim.
All the same Wedges or Blocks as I call them.
The cast Wedges or Blocks are part of and matched to the cast wheel, not the rim.
I am sure Double Bevel rims will interchange between Allis-Chalmers, Deere, and White.
And about 90% sure you can include IHC, old J I Case, MF, CaseIH early Magunms [pre steel centers]
Don't know about Ford, but probably the same.
These are not made by the tractor companies, but I think F & H.
The 32" and 34", maybe 30" rims are different.
Also my collection of different size tires and rims has been all around my tractor line up.
On a Allis-Chalmers 7080, the White 2-155, Deere 4630, White 2-105
The 20 point Spin Out tires and rims on the my 2-135 are off of a retired A-C 7050.
The 20.8 tires are going to make the tractor faster. About 5%. This depends on tire brand and style and wear.
And I think 20.8 equipted tractors will out pull and out work 18.4 tractor by a big margin.
In the picture below of the 155 with the cast duals. Inner rims and tires are 18.4 x 42 on drop down rims. Outers are 20.8 x 38 on the factory rims. Probably a flat tire deal.
