The wheat in my area that got planted on time is looking decent, but could definitely use a drink. The later planted wheat is having some emergence problems. Going to Oklahoma City on November 3 I was surprised at how much wheat had just been planted, and there were several farmers still planting. I saw very few cattle on pasture, most of the wheat wasn't big enough. We got back from St. Louis yesterday, and on the flight from Dallas to Amarillo (always a transfer in Dallas) I saw a lot of bare fields.
