I think the farther north and the colder climate we are, the less the om degrades in general? frozen and covered in snow over winter, cool and wet is spring and maybe fall. Think that all has to do with how om breaks down?

I realize the question is about summer fallow moreor less, but a shorter summer means less breakdown?
