We had one for years, but I sure was happy to see it go. That big aluminum gear box on bottom was a pain. You really should have a jump auger to dump into the thing because you have to be very careful not to hit the gear case with the truck box when lifted. Also, on ours, the bottom bearing got hard to get, we found the last of those bearings at a Mayrath dealer in Indiana. Company flat out said that after that, we would have to do a change over in the gear case and that cost something like $400 or 500. This may or may not apply to the auger you are looking at. |
