NW Ohio | we have an 8960 JD have nothing but good to say about it good power to wieght ratio. The 8960's have a cummin's engine in them, very reliable. The 8760's have a Deere engine in them and from what I've heard anything over 5000hrs is borrowed time. I had a nieghbor who bought one with 6500hrs. on it great looking tractor didn't make it 50hrs before scattering the engine. Might be an isolated problem but I've heard Deere mechanics warn of the same problem. Excellent tractor I would watch the hours. | |
