got 2 new caps ,,,2 new filters ,,, 100 bucks later ,,hope it works ,,has worked in the past ,, i figure non wented top cap ,, starts to vent some ,, lets fuel run down into bottom and over flow thru vent ,,, they figured out a better way few years later when bottom is sealed with no cap
