western iowa,by Denison | basicly limit feeding,it might take 25-35 more days to get the animal to the same weight,holding the cattle at90-95% of there daily intake,less acidous,which is kinda important on wet crack corn,more efficent,the calf could weigh the same 25 days latter but got there with less feed,if your feeding in your own feedlot your daily charge per head per day might be different vs in a commercial lot
also on the small framed cattle you can grow a bigger animal that is finnish with a bigger carcass-that short little heifer that would have been done at 1100# now has a chance to weigh 1250#
biggest thing would be feed bunk spacing-all the cattle need to eat at once or there will be some cattle that get pushed back | |
