I don't preg check the heifer calves, they all get lute. If they were just bred you probably couldn't tell by palpate anyway The preg check is just cows and yearling bred heifers to determine if any are open. Had one cow open and she is gone. It would be nice to combine weaning, fall vacinations, preg check, pour and lute in one time thru the chute as i have been but will wait a couple weeks on the lute for the heifer calves from now on as discussed. If I were buying heifer calves as stockers from an unknown source I would lute them all. As CC jersey mentions, the possible complications of them, even one, being bred as calves are not worth taking a chance. Jim
