Kingston,Mi | A possible joint sealant might be SIKAFLEX 15 LM, it or a similar elastomeric sealant will move with both sides of the joint. We installed a similar product between to reinforced concrete walls in a Government sponsored dry dam (slow release basin on steriods), a new wall was cast next to an existing wall that was at least 35 years older. Each wall had a 3/4 inch camfer at the top edge of the wall, the elastomeric sealant was deposited in this groove, it is self leveling and the product self leveled within a few hours. After 10 years of exposure, we did an inspection and could not find any loss of function, the adhesion was excellent and the material still had resilence. I don not recall the actual product used but it was similar to this product. Google Sika chemicals, caulk then read the descriptions, your local concrete supplier should be able to supply this or a very similar product for this use. | |
