Sunnyside, WA | Hire someone to run your equipment or hire the field work custom done. We do all fieldwork except chopping and hauling silage. We used to do a lot less field work and it seemed like every fall the cows would suffer because we were pulling too many people from the dairy to harvest. Now we have grown some and I leave the dairy crew alone during harvest. Dairy runs much better that way. Hiring $15/hour help for driving tractors is cheaper that ignoring cows.
