Soybeaner is on Lake Erie, lake bed soils. That was an ocean a long time ago, reminds me of the soils of Holland and western Europe. Yes it would take a lot of H+ cations to displace the soil's anions. It takes less of the "stonger" lime byproducts soybeaner says they have access to.

I probably muddied the water but you made me think of my life's application of learning from high school, college and even CCA studies.

My oldest teaches ag like I did and one of his students is a National Finalist in Crop Production at the National FFA Convention this week. We were just talking about CHopkinsCaFe. LOL
