Iowa | A lot of retailers like to sell fertilizer through VRT, especially the big retailer chains. It gives them a way to develop a relationship with the grower. Also it confuses the system as far as pricing. Unless a grower has several years of yield mapping of each crop and all the other variables controlled, they have no way of showing a positive result from VRT. Most growers cannot show this. Soil variability cannot be fixed with fertility. | |
