He doesn't have to be concerned right now because it is in warranty yet, but what happens down the line in a few years when this machine is out of warranty? I don't think anybody can take a hit like that once the machine is out of warranty.

That's where REMAN comes in.




The problem with reman stuff on some of the Case / Iveco stuff, reman engines simply are not avalible. On some of the "Deere combine blew up" threads of the last year or two, I seem to remember that the price of a Deere reman VS new was not all that much different, maybe 20-30%.
Can someone post the reman VS new engine costs from one of those threads ?? Seems to me the Deere low hour engine failures were related to coolant pump drive bearing failures, dumping bearing parts into the front gear drivetrain. I THINK the threads said reman was high 40's while new was mid 50's
