My grandfather was attacked by coyotes when he was a kid. He went out to bring in the milk cows one evening and there was a pretty heavy fog. He got down on his hands and knees to try to see under the fog to find the cows, and three coyotes jumped him. They ran away as soon as he got up and hollered. If he hadn't told me that story, I never would have thought a coyote would be brave enough to do something like that.
