SC MN | New Zealand is a beautiful country. I lived and worked on a dairy/crop farm for 11 months on the South Island in the Canterbury Plains. Very interesting and the best experience of my life to date (I'm just 26yrs old). Dunedin is a great city to visit, but I think all the good farm ground is just to the north about 45 mins to an hour and on up the coast a ways. As you head south of Dunedin you start to run into wine country with all the vineyards and other horticulture farms. It's been right at 25 months ago when I left for the country. Never went to the North Island because the south has about a quarter of the people, more open space, and beautiful scenery. | |
