I got a lot of help from mine. I only use it when I need it, so it isn't used every day, but it's there when I want to use it. My spinal specialist told me it is not much different from traction (but a lot cheaper). His take on it was it may help and it won't do any harm, and you will know rather quickly if it does you any good or not.
