| Is there anyone who isn't contemplating expansion every day of the week?
It depends on what you are doing. Do you have friends that want you to rent their ground? Are you being talked into paying significantly higher rent than others in the area? (could be setting yourself up for failure - typically not everyone is wrong and you are right). Why are you concerned? We've had folks come in a buy lots of ground (urban sprawl - like winning the lottery) and at this point it was the buy of the century. Anyone could have bought the land so there really are no hard feelings. Everyone has a personality and sometimes that's ok and sometimes not so much.
Also consider that trying to make your own ground more profitable may be a much better option than expanding in a situation where prices (rent, land, inputs) are at all time highs. I have even scene a few magazine articles suggest this - almost unbelieveable. | |
