Kaukauna WI | Cow had LDA surgery 9/21. Was on polyflex for a few days. Textbook surgery.
A week ago she starts looking crappy, eyes sunk and wouldn't eat a thing. Had 103 temp. Gave polyflex and banamine, and glucoamino and hypertonic saline. Cow has had many probiotic pills. Starting eating in about 36 hours but only corn silage and quackgrass. Kept her on polyflex for a few days. Manure went from all water to normal but not very much.
Now, she eats every other day. Chewed her cud and ate pretty well all day yesterday. Thought she'd turned the corner, but today is gassed up on the left and only eats a little quackgrass and corn silage. No temp. I can tell that gas is bothering her.
Ship her when the polyflex clears, or any other thoughts? I was thinking a trocar? | |
