Subject: RE: Polaris 400

I believe that is the same as the snowmobile clutch. You have to put the face plate back on the clutch, the six little long bolts. You wouldn't have to put the spring back in until you were going to put it back on for good. Polaris makes a special long bolt that goes into the center of that face plate and goes in and butts up to the end of the crank shaft. The end of the crank shaft is tapered and the six inch long bolt with the bushing that you must have removed is how this gets tightened back onto the crank. Hope I explained ok. I have seen that clutch removal bolt in like the Dennis Kirk books and such. The tranny ? I haven't had that or know what to do.
