One more thought, these tags are little metal strips clamped in the ear, and I'm pretty sure a Vet has to do it. (somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that)
As far as health papers, I find it odd that there can be papers that mysteriously disapear after the sale. LOL. Local barn was notorious for that.
