North of London | Has happened that the wrong date was used.
I always find myself trying to figure out where the day is but first twelve days of the month do not help.
Personally I use the way I was told in school was the only way dd/mm/yy but I was in school a long time ago before computers and the mixed format has crept in since then.
Now more are using the internationally accepted yy/mm/dd/ then you can add hh/mm/ss, makes sense.
As I noted before most forms indicate on them which format to use and most government forms use the dd/mm/yy format as well as many businesses.
Where the mm/dd/yy comes into use is where US companies are involved or programming from the US although many of those now give you the option as my book keeping program does.
I still write the month as a word where I can. | |
