Teacher is making an assumption that is not in the story.
Hope you are pointing out to your children how different people can take different meanings from the same story and encourage them to think on their own not just accept what others tell them.
I always 'tease' my grandkids by naming things like colours wrong so they learn to say "no, you are wrong it is red not green".
Keeps them thinking but they soon get to know grandpa is teasing them but they do learn to look for themselves and answer correctly.
Life gets complicated when kids get into school and are exposed to others ideas and habits. | |
