Buffalo IL | Just got back from church. The cornhead is 2208. I have been told to keep it from guys that have bought the newer style. They say this one shells off less at the head. Still shells some at the head or more than i like. That is MX 215 and I am a litle disappointed in the power as i believe the 5288 we traded for it had more guts to it or it justs doesn't seem to be as loud as the 5288 was pulling a load. plenty of power though for the cart and the planter since that is all it gets used for on this farm. I bought a 28' 496 disc in the spring of 2010 to work stalks with since we did not get done chiseling in the fall of 2009 and Mx seemed to struggle with it. I may chip it, but traded the disc off when i bought the JX as I do not use a disc much. I wish i had kept the disc as I haven't been able to find a decent 24' disc for odd jobs.
