Subject: Silage season is coming to an end....sniff, sniff (pics)

Our custom silage season is finished. While it was full of challenges, it was rewarding too. Very thankful to my wife and my parents for doing all of the chores at home while we were gone. We started August 6 and finished September 21. We either got rained on or rained out at every single job we were on. Whew! Here are a few pics of our equipment and the varied heights of the corn we chopped. Yields ranged anywhere from 10 tons/acre all the way up to 40 tons/acre. What a year! Now it's time for a lot of powerwashing and then a fast approaching soybean harvest....
