X2 on the nitrates. You can usually call the lab and add that test, they usually keep the samples around for a while after the analysis has been reported out.

Looks like some drougthy silage that didn't make grain. Grain starch is what usually dilutes the fiber and protein of the stover portion of the plant. No grain or poor test weight, no starch, low energy, but higher protein.

You have to start somewhere, so estimate your tonnage on hand and the number of cattle and days you'll be feeding and see if that doesn' t give you a starting point for the amount of silage. Then you can stretch it with wheat straw if needed and balance with distillers.

And again, if you call them about the nitrate, get them to repeat the calcium.

You can calculate a RFV, but not going to be much use unless comparing other similar silages.
