Soil types, condition, moisture, traction, and cover are all going to impact the power requirement. When we used to plow more than we do now, we used; 140 hp on 5-18's, 180 hp on 7-18's, 240 hp on 8-18's and 350 on 9-18's. the latter two were 4WD. Favorite is still the Wil-Rich flex in 9-18's. May be a bigger challenge to find someone who is good at setting it up correctly than the plow itself.
